Really? usually it is worse (not heaps )

My teachers always say I have bad handwriting (not in a rude way of course)
To put it into perspective, this is an English Advanced response which the markers gave Band 5/6: Link. I reckon your handwriting is more legible than my example.

The other day in our Adv English class, we were going through reading an 'exemplary' response from the 2010 HSC Paper 2. As the teacher was reading it out, he literally struggled to read every 4th word. It was ridiculous, the most illegible handwriting I (and most of the whole class) had seen. Then my teacher went on to explain that the marker trying to figure out what's written down would probably cause them to forget what they read earlier and hence just focus on what they're reading at that point. Our English dept also agreed that the 'exemplary' response also actually wasn't exemplary.
Yeah, the handwriting of some (most) responses were absolute horrid. I typed the ones with my texts up on the computer, just so I could print them off and actually read them properly, and maybe steal some good ideas.
Honestly, I think the Board only prints off Band 5 answers, because those answers weren't exactly great. At least in my opinion, not a band six response.

LOL. You all wanna talk about messy?

It reads:
None of you have seen messy until you've seen my handwriting. This is my normal handwriting, not my "under exam pressure" handwriting. Sometimes i get entire paragraphs circled because the teacher can't read and mark what I wrote. I'd be pretty darn surprised if anyone can read this without squinting or something.

That was pretty easy to read but if that's your normal handwriting, be prepared to fix your handwriting!
Have you seen the handwriting of some doctors? (10x worse than yours at the moment)

This is the end of my Frankenstein Trial. I'm guessing my writing has become a lot worse since university.

Yeah, that's my NORMAL handwriting though. You should try reading my under exam pressure handwriting. Slyhunter can attest that it is the worst thing ever. No over exaggeration.

No it isn't, Vee.

Alright, i learnt how write even uglier and even faster than before: (are these still acceptable/legible?)

73 words/108 seconds = 42wpm ceteris paribus 1637 words in 40mins

And. even even more uglier:

73 words/96 seconds = 45wpm ceteris paribus 1800 words in 40mins

Behold, my exam handwriting:

(this is actually quite neat compared to some of my other exam papers. I'll upload a page from my english yearly when I get it back. God was that terrible)

Unfortuntaely, ceteris paribus is not accurate, especially when applied to wpm in an exam.

Also, I can barely read some of those words. :p

"a sense of belonging is often relvant"? rlvant? You should still bother to spell the words. Also, do you think you can sustain this for 2 hours in paper 2? A more accurate test is to time yourself writing out an entire paper 1/2 and seeing how many words you write in the 2 hours. That shows what your average is, and is more useful.

People cannot and do not write at the same pace throughout exams.

Did I? Probably, it was horrendous.

Yes, I attest it's pretty bad.
