Is your shop in a rural area?

Mine is a main area and customer flow varies. I usually see Supervisors do checkouts when it is really busy, but usually they all are at the Service desk

Yeah we're in a rural area. It's good... not to busy, I guess, so your not stuck on a register, which can get (to me) pretty hard on your back for a really long time.

Oh wow, it's been so long since I've actually been on this thread ever since BoS went balls-up - only found it when I went through my bookmarks looking for something else!

Anyone here from the good old days of 1year+ ago?

Well, I'm from a store in Queensland, yes I only joined this forum for this discussion. I would totally tell you were, but I just don't wanna because I'd have to be specific and that'd definately give away who I was, sorry. Not that I don't wanna do that, maybe some day in the future, but just not right now :(

I might PM yous were sometime. It's not that I'm scared of people finding out who I am, it's just I don't want it to be public knowledge of where I work, then people can come in and be like HEY!! Your from bored of studies and you said all this stuff... Haha :)

Finally! BoS is back!!

Got a question for you guys. Do PPTers need a doctors certificate now when they call in sick? I can't recall being asked for one the last time I wasn't well enough to turn up for a shift, but my new 2ic today has insisted that I have one.

I'd search for my question here but parts of this site still aren't functioning 100%.

Thanks in advance :)

Best if you get one.

If you do it will make you look better to your managers

From memory of reading a couple of posts, you are entitled to two days of sick leave without doctors certificate (whether they are paid or unpaid I'm not sure, sorry). But I'm still not a 100% sure though.

I'm from back in the day, hopefully we can get some of the oldies back, we had some great discussions on here!

I also work in a million dollar store, I got appointed last year. I couldn't imagine going back to working in a small store again, the excitement of a big store makes the day fly past and always keeps it interesting!

We have had our slow days and they just drag on. Being busy makes it all fly by fast. Wouldnt have it any other way
