My daughter is in year 7 at a public high school (ranked around 140-170 in the last 7 years). Her 6 monthly report was excellent - she got outstanding for all subjects in every area. I am looking to get her an English tutor (one on one) as she said English is getting a little harder now and she wants to remain on top of class. I also think its a good idea as the tutor can explain concepts in advance and by the time its done in class, she would be totally on top of it.
Where can I go looking for a great English tutor? I tried a couple but they seem to treat her like a struggling student and give her work too easy. Where can I find a tutor who can really push and challenge her?
