Thanks guys. I knew I was going to be an outlier in terms of the marks when I walked out of the exam room to see people so angry they smashed their liquid papers on the floor with all their strength.

I got 96% in my trial 2, and I came second, after the usual first place who managed 99...
I tried so hard yet I couldnt make it.. :(
I lost 2 marks in multiple choice and one in the last question (independent paper)

Thanks sean. It's not that epic though tbh. It's prelim 3U lol.
Still though, doubling the secondbest mark is making a pretty strong statement...I never managed that. The best I ever did vs cohort in prelim 3u was 100 in the yearlies, second was ~80, 3rd was ~70 and the rest failed, with average <40.

My one goal for my yearlies is to beat this international girl who brags so much about her results.

I don't care if I fail as long as I beat her in my yearlies, i'm fine :p

OMG.

I do this all the time. With every assessment, I aim to beat a certain individual. So rewarding if I do. (regardless of mark)

Just break her arm before the test=win

And loling hard at some of the mark differentials between 1st and 2nd haha. Only time I've ever been outright first in a maths test was 65/66 in prelim 3U yearly and then 2nd got 64/66 lol. At least the average was around fail so I was very happy
