is the writing style for history ext closer to like ext/adv english style rather than like say, modern?

cause i was reading major projects like the really goods ones and they sound more like english essays (in like its wordiness and abstract use of words) rather than your plain modern history essay? should i be mimicking an english style writing for this subject? oh and i dont just mean like for the major, but also for like general response writing in exams

its tough cause it's its own unique style. i probs would place the MW in between modern/english x1 style writing and the exam essays closer to english x1/legal studies but it took me a whole year of messing around with styles to find out what actually worked. def not anywhere near a plain modern style essay though
