If youre going to the US... then no. They have to justify that they can't find an American to do your job. Plus there's a cultural barrier and what not, they'd rather hire an aussie who studied in the US than one who studied here.

And they'd probably prefer an American that studied in the US than an Aussie that studied in the US. Seriously, in this economic climate, even Americans can't get jobs - unless you're exceptional, don't expect a job.

the only jobs for new accountant grads right now are pretty much in house... its tough as shit getting a big 4 job in the US. besides ivy league has WAY more prestige and rep than any aussie uni regardless of rankings. ivy league is all about that networking yo.

The US uses one set of generally accepted accounting principles and the rest of the world uses another set. You have a chance in any other country except for the US.
