According to isildurrrr1, they will get a job from their parents back in China and such.
If your dad owned his own company, I'm pretty sure he'd do his best to pass it on to you.
Are you telling me that all the other students who go to a non-Go8 are useless and should just stay at home because they don't attend a Go8 university? This includes Macquarie, UTS, UWS, ACU, CSU along with some others.
Macqaurie and UTS is aite, but others are already becoming huge degree mills. What do you think the definition of second rate is? first rate is Go8, second rate is UTS and Macq.
Why are they even in an Australia University then? Can't they just easily graduate from their own country and take over their father's company? Or better to ask is why are they even at university if the father can just pass on his company to his child?
My uninformed friend, you forget the fact that Australia does a good job of selling our "prestige." It's much harder to get into a top chinese uni than an Australian uni. There's a billion people in China and we have 23 million. Think which one has easier competition amongst the masses. A lot of them are doing it for immigration purposes, why do you think all of them are taking accounting? I doubt there are that many chinese kids that have an interest in accounting.
You also forget the fact about the cultural situation when it comes to "face" in China. If your kid becomes a dumb cunt and can't get a uni degree, it brings shame upon you. So the kids have pressures to pass and what not. If you have a kid that's not going to uni, it looks REALLY bad on you. Education is super important to asian cultures, why do you think most top uni's are filled with asians? It's even in the articles on SMH.
Because you're a brick at uni doesn't mean you'll be a brick at doing business. I have a VERY close friend of mine who was a UWS dropout coz he was too smaht. At 24 he was pulling 100k AUD a year, now he's in his early 30s pulling 600k AUD A YEAR. He was a shitty student but he's got a brilliant mind when it comes to business. And no he didn't take over his daddy's company, he runs his own trading company and his clients include Bupa and the NHS (UK).
