I cant believe law is still only 95!

Also: interesting fact! Part of the reason Canberra was chosen as the Capital was because the wise old white founding fathers of the Commonwealth believed that the Anglo-Saxon mind could only thrive in colder climates.
Congratulations, ANU
Canberra's summers are ridiculously hot.

I am hoping to transfer into law at ANU next year.

If people could explain to me how they assign their applicants an entrance rank, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here is what I have done so far:
-I got an OP 17 (UAI equivalent of 61) in 06, (very shit I know)
-I went and got a Diploma of justice at TAFE in 07 (and got the best marks possible)
-I am currently doing law / psych at Griffith Uni (QLD), When I apply for ANU I will have done 1 year of law with at least GPA of 5.0 hopefully.

How will they establish my rank using these qualifications?
Is it likely that my poor OP will massively drag my rank down?
Is a GPA of 5 good enough?

And overall do I really have a shot?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

i wish people would realise uai cutoffs mean jack shit. if you don't get, you get in by transferring in in the second semester (or second year).

all you need to do is keep a 60% average and you're pretty much guaranteed to have your transfer accepted.
Are you basing this on experience?

for example, if I went and did something easy like science (psychology) and kept a 60% average, could I then transfer into law / Pysch science?

yeah so did i, but it doesnt make it easy. i found it easier than most as i had done 2 years worth of psych before i came into it, apparently 1003 is as hard as any second year course.
it was made much hardr this year throwing us into the deep end with assignments and stuff, and apparently they are toning it down again

im just saying dont get the idea a certain type of degree is easy, because everyone has different strengths and what not
