im sorry, but although i am a christian. i am very against te catholic church and its propaganda.

can i just raise the point that the pope is a dick? no human is more 'holy' than another (aside from jesus). the elevation of this 'pope' figure is bullshit. and non-christian.

My guess would be... the catholic church is really struggling to keep the youth into its ranks so they've gone out of their way to create a festival that will draw in / solidify the youth in their faith. It has so much hype because that's what the catholic church wants, they want it to be their big event.

The church does not worship the pope. He is merely a leader, a spiritual authority who is entrusted to spread the Gospel similar to that of peter and his apostles.

The papacy creates structure in the church, which will ensure its survival for the rest of time.
