I remember my brother use to work in mcdonalds and literally got payed $ 5 an hour ( this was like 7 years ago ) and he did a 3 hour shift haha and ended up buying a family meal and a large big mac meal or something and spending basically all of the hours he just worked ....

From that day i vowed to be cheap on the $$ i earnt , i earned 4 k or so and i spent around 15 - 20 % of it ....

I see my friends buying a whole load of clothes for $ 200 , thats like 4 days work !!!!

Its prolly just me being a tight ass asian

No, I'm very tight with my money too. I figure, I worked hard for it, I'm not going to go around blowing it on stuff I don't really need. Also because I'm saving it for when I have to make a larger investment down the line.

Oh, and I'm not asian.

I spend what I need, but I don't spend on useless things. I figure if I have the money I may as well use it, for good things.

This year I reffed soccer and was gonna save all my money I would of had about 1500 from it, I don't know where it all went cause now i only have 200 from it. lol.

I'm gonna start saving for a car as soon as I get back from a holiday in January. My olds will prolly pay for half of a car, or the insurance for like my 19th b-day or something.

i ususally dont withdraw money from my account. i just use the money i get in hand from tutoring. about $65 a week. and spend it on travel, food etc. i save what i can from that and buy something 'big' every couple of weeks or so depending on how much i have.

I never spend my money. Saving for something I'll actually use, like uni or a new computer.
