Yeh, i was just wondering if i made it into a uni course right...then i started the semester and decided that i wanted to quit uni, would i have to pay anything???

If you past a certain date, yes! This is the HECS census date.
There are a assortment of other dates too. Final day to drop courses without academic penalty, final day to drop courses without incurring HECS......
Just search for the one you want, at the enrolment information webpage of your uni.
