The whole point of the UAI is to get into the course you want. The moment you're accepted you can take the UAI and throw it in the bin and forget about it (unless you're unlucky enough to have to pissfart around with transfers the next year).

Hell, the people getting 95.xx and getting into the courses they want to get into are probably more lucky and therefore special than the Asians who get 99.xx and don't get into medicine

look stupid to who? No one at uni cares what uai you got. no one at school cares. your parents won't care once you're accepted to uni. I'd rather be friends with a WELL ROUNDED person who actually has a life and a personality and got 65 than someone who has no life, no personality, and got 99.95.
If you feel the only way you can be happy is to get a wonderful mark in something that won't count for shit in 5 years, then thats up to you.

As for Asians getting 99+ and failing med, thats 90% the ppl doing bio in my school The rest arent asian.
haha Im gonna fail med too. Who cares. If I fail med id be forced to do what I wanna do so its all good.

And as for people with personalities - I'd say on average 65 ers are weirder and more unfriendly than the 99+ ers. Give nerds some credit
