I get you esp maybe in this specific situation it feels a bit weird but more broadly imo I don’t think “taking full advantage of the opportunities available” has to be going to private or selective, like if someone takes the test then that’s them exploring the options and maybe after discussion they decide that’s not right for themI’m not being salty but I was just like why. Like with her brains she should have taken full advantage of the opportunities available to her in nsw
That is kinda weird tho, like coming first really doesn’t mean that much imoI heard some ppl who should be in top schools but don’t, choose not to go bc the exams in lower ranked schools r “ easier” and there’s less competition- so they can rank first or some. Personally, I’ve never met anyone who’s done that but they exist apparently & do it intentionally bc they wanna rank first. Idk what benefit that’d have besides looking nice on a report tho lmao
Altho then again what is the difference between going to a normal school for a good ranking and going to a selective so your cohort pulls you up (something I’ve also heard)
