Why do you listen to music? (1 Viewer)

I've been thinking about it, and there are so many reasons I listen to music, but here are the main ones:

1/ The music itself. I listen to a lot of different music, but sometimes something just sounds good. I guess you could say the same about classical music, after all it doesn't have any lyrics, but it's still good to listen to.

2/ Lyrics. Sometimes I listen to a song, and I just think "that's exactly how I feel", or I just think to myself "This song has a deeper meaning" and that makes it worth listening to.

Plus also for some noise. I can't stand silence! (Damn tinitus... ). But also mainly for the musical content. When a piece of music's really nice and pleasureable it makes for a good day. There's nothing like settling in on a windy rainy day with a score and recording of Bach chorales or something, and put it on the stereo, clutching a hot cuppa, listening... looking out the window to the rain...

Sigh.
