whos doing or has done ACTL1001? Im kinda nervous coz every1 will be so competitive and shit like it was in yr12 ..

I've done it, but I'm telling you now, if you're not prepared to work hard don't bother. From my experience, people aren't so competitive, so don't worry about that. Worry about getting raped by ACTL1001.

Questions get ridiculously long, so be sure to keep track of which values are stored in which variable in your calculator.

Lectures cover concepts that are deceptively simple. Wait until you get an actual test on it.

DW ACTL1001 isn't too hard. It's basically an intro into applying actuarial science to real problems.

It's when you do ACTL2001 and ACTL2002 at the same time that you get butt raped. Hard

yeh i agree.
1001 is quite interesting and not that hard..
2001&2002 is ridiculous. especially those R assignments.
but most of all. the lecturer is the most important part.. that's why you don't wanna do 2002..

1001 is ok, not hard not easy
2001 + 2002 was hard when i did it but in hindsight it wasnt that hard

Also i think the course has changed slightly this year (less maths or something idk, check the course outline on BB)
