UTS actually has a very well regarded B Acc degree. Probably the best out of unsw/usyd/uts etc.

that's because its a bachelor of accounting! all you do is accounting, you cant major in anything else, you dont learn about economics etc.

ok im going to try to deviate the discussion the right way.
if you want to make a proper decision then you should look at the proper stats. a good place to start would be the "good universities guide". it tells you starting salaries/unemployment stats etc etc.
and another thing, u have to look at what major your interested in, unsw may have better resources/lecturers/teaching for a finance major or usyd might have them for marketing etc. commerce is such a broad area you cant just say "X uni is da best at commerce" those are just empty statements.

uts has its employment stats online, for other unis u should try the good unis guide.
oh and think about B.eco/B.comm at unsw that'd be so good to do.

why have they made a BEc/BComm? You only get 2 majors, 1 in eco n 1 other 1 which is the same as a BCommerce
USYD will prob steal the idea eventually tho like the original BComm

I believe you can do three majors inBComm/BEc at UNSW, which is probably the main point of the course.

Umm..NO.

BAcc is basically a COMMERCE/BUSINESS degree. The requirement is that ONE of your majors has to be accounting. The Other one can be anything..finance, marketng or even ECONOMICS.

And BAcc students do the same core subjects as all the other business students. The only thing being that they actually get paid to go to uni. AND get work experience from amazing banks, chartered firms, investment bankers, commercial businesses etc.

That's why its the best.

Commerce and economics share core subjects, commerce and science do not.

if you wanted to do an extra subject or two at summer school you could fit in a triple major in com/sc at unsw.

Refer to your thread you said you wish to take accounting as a major and either international business, management or finance (not sure that is it you are talking about double majors here....) if yes ....I'll recommend UTS more than USyd. ....

USyd. FEB just change their structure last year from normally 8 credits points/subject to 6 credits points/subject. They divided accounting to two types of accounting in 1 Bachelor, (Accounting - Professional Accreditation Program, and Accounting)..... If you wish to approach to CPAA or ICAA you need to take the Accounting - Professional Accreditation Program....but you might not be able to take another major by taking this program.

For UTS, theoretically you can finsih ur accounting major in second year already and this is available for you to approach towards CPAA and ICAA (same outcomes from the program in USyd. ), and definitely you can take a second major or sub-major(minor) or electives.....

I'd just like to clear this up, within the BComm at Sydney, you can generally complete a double major with the Accounting - Professional Accreditation Program, by doing this you would have completed 18/24 UOS (incl. the 10 cores), though it is a tight squeeze. Also, for the combinations listed above (with management or int. business or finance) you can safely complete a double major. Also, if you're afraid of such a restrictive academic schedule there is also the Commerce (Liberal Studies) though that is 4 years.
