Business admin +IT = definately has more maths related subjects in it than an arts-psyche ... but then again psych has stats.. but then again IT has bloody programming which is learning new scary computer languages...

i've only ever done one comp unit and i thought it was hell

I would imagine that BBA/IT has more maths involved, but, as Clairgirl said, there is stat in BBA/Psych. If you did BBA/IT, in first year you could do demographics for the BBA side of it rather than stats (which is apparently easier), but then, IT probably does have more proper maths subjects in it.

Personally, I dont know whether its such a good idea to base your degree choice on how much maths there is in a particular degree, there are more important things to think about (eg. whether you want to do that course). If you have dedication and a passion for what you do, you get through it because you know you have no choice. I hate maths, but have endured two years of stat to do psych because I love it.

p.s. check out www.handbook.mq.edu.au and search for the BBA/IT and see its core units.

I know I gave you a mouthful in the other thread, but I think understanding maths isn't just understanding the numbers -- anyone can punch numbers into a calculator -- but understanding the system that the numbers and the operations work within. Programming is very much on the same streak, which is why usually programmers are good at maths. You're just understanding a system of how different objects, variables and commands work on other things... it's effectively maths in a different medium. My impression anyway.

As MJ said, go with what you're interested in, rather than what you reckon you should do based on your the competencies you perceive you do/don't have.

Without a doubt I'd say IT.

And the maths in IT is much more than just punching numbers as Skittled has said.
I went to a few of my friend's Math130 (read: baby maths) and they varied from HSC General maths right up to early 4unit stuff - I can only imagine what 135 is like..

i was foolish enough to want to take a maths as an elective and did maths135.. i got some sense a week later and took philosophy instead... it seemed like a lot of work. definitely not an elective-ish subject.

for IT
you do the following maths

math 135 (involves little bit of 4u, then intro to basic uni maths such as vector)
math 237 (discrete maths with computing maths)
