there are copies of the lecture slides in the course notes that we buy from the coop bookshop and the Excel add on thing is on the CD that comes with the course notes. That's what she said. i haven't looked yet.

how packed was the theatre in stat 170? should i be there early?

it was pretty full... there were ppl sitting on the floor, but they then later found seats... so u should probably be there pretty early

can someone tell me the deal with the stat book. they said it was not necessary on the book list, yet they told us to do work from it, and to buy it at the lecture

the stat books are all in front of you when you walk through the bookstore... their in boxes... the txt book is purple and the notes is like some other color.

they were hard, the new words are hard to grasp straight away, and we were given 20sec for each, so no i just copied the answers as i didnt have enough time to think for myself. but when i got the answers i understood them

BTW:
did Alex (ACCG 100 lecturer) indicate what we do with the other skinny textbook we needed .it doest appear on the unit outline homework stuff .....

oh so there are 2 books to get for stat170? a study guide and a textbook? do i really need the textbook??

yeah 2. the text was recommended, but the lecturer has given us questions to do from it, so i suppose in a sense it's compulsory. in the unit outline they have given us it mentions that the 2 are compulsory, and that there are then 3 other recommended reference books.

i'm trying to minimise costs... :p
i made the first year uni student mistake last year and bought ever single textbook they said.. i didn't up using most of the stuff!! and now since they change all of the recommended texts for this year, i can sell them so no i'm stuck!!

this year i've only bought comp115, trying to get mktg for free off my friend, and get hold of the stat170 cd and just print the material!! oh and for maths its already online!! :)
