Depends on your style of study. Do you get burnt out doing the same thing over and over? Then don't start too early, instead start 3-4 months before your exam.
I'd say start familiarising yourself with the exam style early next year. Then you can slowly focus on specific sections and time yourself while identifying any weaknesses.
I'd recommend Medify because it has a really nice website set up that helps you track your progress. Or you could just use the official UCAT practice tests on their website.

It really depends on you as a person but that's what I'd recommend. Good luck :)

if you are doing ucat in y12, ideally first term of year 12 if not start before term 1 year 12 are good times to start to make sure you're not screwing your trials up for last minute ucat cramming.

if you haven't started i would do a diagnostic test rn (i think maybe there are some free ones online) and figure out how cooked you are and decide how much practise you need.

girl honestly some people start WEEKS before ucat begins and get 3100+ so you are not cooked dw

obv don't leave it until then but realistically from now to 3 months before test do like 1 full mock per fortnight and a few subtests per week max

and then increase the intensity of your prep in the last 3 months. there is no hard and fast rule as to how to do this but this is just an example

use medify and medentry. tutoring is largely unnecessary unless you have a lot of money to blow and this tutoring caters to your needs e.g. you can't simulate the test environment at home, you don't understand how the question types work
