When do people socially start to form at Uni (1 Viewer)

I'm at sydney cumberland campus, so we had our orientation day today.
It's probably different since I assume you're doing a broad degree (such as arts or science)
However I made heaps of friends today that I will potentially be my friends throughout the 4 years of my degree

It's not hard to make friends, just be social, if the conversation get's quiet then ask a generic question such as what subjects did you do at school (can usually gain interests and commonalities from this)

Did you sit next to anyone and make conversation? Sometimes you can be unfortunate enough to sit next to someone who's just really antisocial/awkward, but if you ask questions like what course/subjects they're doing, most people are keen for a chat because you're all new and nervous.

Unless of course this antisocial/awkward person is you.
