I have a wide range of tastes, encompassing (but not restricted to) anime music, classical music, old music ('As Time Goes By', for instance).

I just know what I don't like... for instance, useless Ebonic ramblings about skanks and hoes and pimps and no-talent wannabe pop princesses or hardcore punks (they're one and the same) 'singing' inane lyrics written by other people (and I use 'lyrics' in the broadest sense of the word).

If I had to pick one, like you made me, I'd go with metal :) That said there's merit in almost all genres (Just in varying quantities), with the possible exception of pop bullshit (Sorry to everyone who likes this, I just can't stomach it) :)

1st wave ska is like an upbeat reggae, these days ska is pretty much pop-punk with a horn section

favourite styles;
metal (mostly sludge, but i love doom, melodic death & really over the top anthemic power metal), folk, psychedelic folk, psychedelic rock, folk, country, (free) jazz, hip hop, grime, jungle, dnb, uk garage, punk, post punk, new wave, no wave, noise, noise rock, electronica, (20th C) classical, ambient, soul, funk, r'n'b, 60's garage, power pop, industrial. pretty much anything, yeah.
