My sister got a 97.5 and the family's wondering what she'll do.

She really wants to do Advanced science.

Would this be the best option?

We won't consider engineering nor commerce and she agrees.

isn't she seventeen/eighteen? shouldn't it be what she chooses, not what you will or won't consider?!

and it is the rest of her life we're talking about. not yours or your parents.

the best area of study is what she wants to do and what she's interested in, something that will make her experience at uni positive, because she'll want to be there.

Make her do a BA (majoring in cooking)!:), Only kidding girls... Don't throw the book at me just yet...
I suppose the non-sexist, new-age response should be that she should do what she feels she wants to do! She may seek your advice, but at the end of the day it is her who will have to make the decision.

I am pretty sure you could get into USYD's Bachelor of Phrenology with 97.5.
