It would be very inaccurate to suggest to you a 'mark' or 'rank' which you should achieve in order to obtain your desired ATAR of 95+. This is due to a few reasons. Firstly, every cohort/year has different students of different abilities, so your cohort could be exceptionally good or also, on the other side of the scale. Also, some subjects may not have the calibre of students as some others may. For example, Subject A may have all of the top 10 students (based on aggregate calculations), whereas Subject B may have none of the top 20 students. This would mean that achieving a rank of 6th in Subject A, may still be better than 1st rank in Subject B.*

I would suggest that you should be in the top 3 in a majority of your classes except for extension english OR subjects which have a large amount of people. E.g English and Maths.

In summary, use your own discretion based on the information above AND your own information which you have about your school in order to determine what ranks/marks you should be obtaining.

*N.B. This does not take into consideration that certain students may be skilled/gifted in some subjects and not others

Nobody can really estimate marks/ranks for you to get a 95+ atar LOL
Just work your ass off, ace all assignments/exams and you'll have a greater chance in obtaining a 95+ atar.

Internal marks don't matter so long as they are high relative to your cohort, but be ranked in the top 5 ideally. In the actual HSC exam, if you get 90 in each subject you'll get the 95 ATAR. BTW, your school ranking doesn't actually effect your mark. It's merely an indication of your school's skill level, which will only really hurt you if you're ranked low. Hence, rank in the top 5.

It's important to realise that a top 5 rank at a school like James Ruse is completely different to a top 5 at a lower ranked school, and smaller subject cohort → higher rank equivalent. But in OP's case, if you go for rank 1 in all subjects + succeed in the HSC exam, that's probably the safest way to get yourself 95+.
