scaled mark of 90% as recall.

I got around your mark and got either E2 or E3
thanks.
did u end up getting a good UAI? Did ur 4u really help ur UAI, or was it a waste? what im trying to ask is, did ur E3/E2 pull up ur UAI, as in was it worth it, doing 4u?

its good to find someone who was once in my position:)

My cousin did 4unit in 2006 and she estimated that she only got 50-60% raw. Her aligned mark was 79, (so a high E2).

But even so, that mark still pulled up her UAI, she ended up getting a UAI of 97.something

79 = E3

E1 is <50
E2 is i think 50-70
E3 is 70-90
E4 is 90 - 100

And yes they are bands for ext subjects.

But it is actually

E1 < 25
E2 25-35
E3 35-45
E4 45-50

Because it is only 1 Unit.

Extension 2 isn't a one unit subject...

depends what mark this was for?

if it was for a CSSA trial, they're usually harder than the HSC themselves
HSC, was 01 or 02 or something.
what do you think?

Yes it is it is a one unit subject that counts for 2 units. It uses the same system of E's.

@ maths lover no they are not raw they are just the aligned marks BOS gives you where they fit.

Aparenty 70% in Ext 1 will get you a E4. (from the Raw mark threads)

So i expect about 65% in Ext 2 to get you an E4.

That is raw.

Also the HSC's seem to have been getting easier over time.

Agree, though it really depends on how the others go in ext2 exam as well to find your grade in ext 2 maths. If one year, the paper is particularly hard, maybe 60% can grant you into E4. However, if everybody does well in the ext 2 exam, say,, the average is about 65%, the same mark (60%) would not get you a E4

Yep that is true. But about 65% i rekon on average would be about it.

65% for the top band? That sounds a little low...Are you sure about that?
