Also, Dave Pelzer's books and his brothers.

Wow we are into the same books. Well really similar.

Nah Eldest is the first (i think). Its where he becomes the dragon rider.

all time favourite book(s):
HARRY POTTER DEFINITELY>>> can that amalgamate into one whole super book omnibus thingy?

and i have a soft spot for pride and prejudice by jane austen and north and south by elizabeth gaskell... sigh, romantic heroes. i really really liked great gatsby...
and trashy teenage romance books... my secret vice.... :p

possible favourites in the future:
grapes of wrath (is that any good? maybe i should head to reading recommendations), of mice and men (ditto bracketed comment) and jodi picoult books...

The Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger.
Angela's Ashes - Frank McCourt.

They're my top two. :)

My favourite book is called New Senior Mathematics (Three Unit Couse for Years 11 & 12) by J.B. Fitzpatrick.

I learn new things every time I read it. I am just so impressed with the ways in which the author presents Mathematics questions to make me question over again and again. From the book, I question the meaning of life "What do I try to achieve from doing these stupid questions that would have no relevance in my life?".

By the way, my 2nd best book is Cambridge 3 Unit HSC. It makes me question why I need so many Mathematics books when I already have 20 books or so.

i have loads of books that i like,

John Grisham's earlier books were awesome, but the recent ones are just crap. I still read the rainmaker, the firm and the partner all the time

Jeffery Archer too had really great books early on, but cat'o nine tales was just terrible, his short story's are usually the best

Michael Crichton has some great idesas but he usually takes them too far. They are really good reads but really biased. Next was just plain confusing

Asimov forever. The true father of science fiction if u ask me, i reckon his original foundation trilogy was by far the best set of books i have ever read. They are confusing, but their plots are brilliant. His short story's too are really clever.

nope, it's not out just yet. I think Christopher said it will be out around September. He decided to call the Inhertiance Trilogy, the Inhertiance Cycle because the 3rd book was going to be around 900 pages if he stuck to a trilogy.
