human traits are given to things like trees? I know that personification is giving objects, and anthromophism(?) is giving human traits to animals, but what about trees?

well i have always been told that giving non-human objects or things human like qualities is personification

hence, giving a tree human like qualities is alos personification

for example, the tree danced in the wind

Actually I think thommy means pathetic fallacy. I.e, when nature, weather or landscapes are given human qualities. E.g the angry wind.

E.g. how many times have you seen a heartbroken girl staring by the window as there's rain/drizzle?

OR, it can also be when someone endows an inanimate object with human feelings.
