Almost 80% of students and lecturers i happened to meet at uni and school were lefties.

I have only met a few students, and work collegues who were leaning to the right side of the spectrum. Some had a mix of both, and the rest dont really care about politics and stuff.

The majority of BA and BCA students at La Trobe University lean to the left. Right-wingers also stay out of the spotlight, whereas the hard lefts (there are two Marxist parties on campus) are often out and about forcing pamphlets into unsuspecting first-year faces.

I haven't developed a solid political inclination but in the last two elections I've voted for the Australian Greens.
