To ks21, average i assume would be about 60? Top 5% would be a HD 85+ at unsw.

yea i'd say average is about 60 depending on course

65 is considered above average

70 very good

I have a document here on USYD and allocation of marks. Scroll down to page 15. I know it isn't WAM but I thought it might be of interest to see what "band" (i.e. HD, D, Cr etc) gets you in what percentile of the candidature.

Though Percentages aren't usually the 'real' indicators of a course. Theoretically, anyone can get HD.

Haha but if you grab ahold of the Stats of HDs, Ds, CRs, P, PCs for all UNSW courses, it usually shows how badly taught that course is, or how good it is.

Have to say though, if your course was organised really well, and the lecturers clearly expressed what they wanted you to know for the exams, then you're bound to get 65+

Not too bad 2 hds and a d so far. I still haven't received my marks for my remaining courses, one of my lecturers just came back from a 3 week holiday :)
