It really depends on the rank as opposed to the mark imo because some papers are way harder than others so the only relative and quantitative way to analyse your result is to compare it with the difficulty of the test and the ranking you acheived.

depends if your asian or not
thats so true. asian parents are so demanding on their kids. :(

Ummm.... I reckon an A or B would be a good mark.

I consider these marks good:

English : 'A' would be excellent but 'B 'would be nice :) GET RID OF THAT C YOU ALWAYS GET!!!!
MAths: 'A' would be good. 'B' would be failing
Science: 'A' would be nice and 'B' would be okay
History: 'A' would be only acceptable result to me
Geography : 'A' would be nice but 'B' would be okay
PE: I'm terrible at it and its not important to me. Anything would do, just so long its not an 'N' award
Music: 'A' would be over the moon, 'B' would be excellent, 'C' would be fine

wanting to improve on English so badly!! need to get rid of stupid C all the time... :mad1:

Lol it's funny to see how people do really well in theory subjects as English and Maths, but when it comes to PDHPE or Sport Science, they screw up  . PDHPE and Sport Science were awesome :).

Enjoy 95%+ in the School Certificate. It'll be the last time.
Lol, So true! I got a 97 in The SC Maths Exam and now I'm around 78% in MX1 and 75% in MX2 (and Top 5 in both) Marks are deceiving

Marks are deceiving. Ranks rarely lie (unless they're all bunched up and losing half a mark can jack you down 70 ranks).

I consider these marks good:

English : 'C' would be excellent but 'D 'would be nice too.
Maths: 'A' is okay. Anything else calls for suicide.
Science: 'A' is okay. Anything else calls for suicide
History: 'D' is nice.
Geography : 'A' is nice
PE: 'D' is nice
Music: 'A' is okay. Antying else calls for suicide.

I consider these to be good:
Maths: 90+ in Maths would be OK, 95+ Great, 100 (like I'll ever get it :uhoh: ) Excellent
Science: 90+ would be great, but my teacher ridiculously expects 100
English: 90 is great, 95+ Excellent
HSIE: under 95
