most fun u can get optimally from that system (that's not TOO old) is probably Rise of Nations (and probably its expansion thrones and patriots too).

RoN = best game of 2003-2004 year.

60 hz refresh rate monitor LCD

last time i played CC generals, it fried my Video card for some reason and had to call dell and get a replacement. So rite now, im still fearing the frying of laptop stuffs....

Anyone got any game recommendations that would run fairly smootly on that system?

Get the original Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year Edition my good man. Its only $20 and is old, but worth it.

try soldat (Soldat.nl: Grit gets kid .. i think??? - just google it) its the best game.. poor graphics.. but so entertaining.. and written by 1 guy as well.

Soldat is the most fucking awsome freeware ever.
