It may be added later in the year.Originally posted by jm1234567890
I regret that you left out reverse though.
Yes and no. I have information relating to the processes used which is not publicly available; but the only additional statistical data I have can be derived from the published reports.Originally posted by jm1234567890
I'm just wondering do you have any data that isn't freely avaliable to the public?
Reverse is the process, of inputting a desired UAI, and selecting a level of aptitude towards each of your subjects, and it outputs what sort of marks you would require to obtain for the HSC to achieve such a desired UAI.Originally posted by lil_star
btw what do u mean by reverse?
yes it is helped me set where i want to be and how much i need to getOriginally posted by Sarah168
very impressive! thanks so much! this will be very handy during this yr.
i wouldnt be surprisedOriginally posted by fringey
Amazing! I rekon Laz knows more about the Hsc + Uai then the real BOS!!
I think Laz is the creator of the UAI ... and he works at UAC as the managing directorOriginally posted by fringey

That makes me esseentially screwed... what are the aligned marks? ^^"'the only problem is, if a student doesn't figure out how to guess aligned marks well, they're essentially screwed
It's entirely possible - you generally only need a total of around 400 scaled marks (out of a possible 500 for 10 units, or 450 for 9 units) in order to attain a UAI of 95.Originally posted by iyamahobbit
i happened to enter only 9 units (i gave my remaing subjects a '0') and i still managed to end up with a UAI of 95... that's really weird!
The scaling parameters don't change very much from year to year - but the distributions of aligned HSC marks do. Compare the band percentages in 2001 (where fewer students achieved high marks) to those in 2002 and 2003 (where more students achieved high marks) and you'll see what I mean. It would have been harder to get your 2003 marks back in 2001.Originally posted by Snapwizard
Hahahah very impressive Laz, but why was my UAI 9 points higher in 2001? I know each yr scaling changes but you said they dont change very much at all in a large group?
Just type in the mark with a decimal point - e.g. "74.5"Originally posted by Snapwizard
is theres a way to enter half marks or are you implementing that in the future?
