Do you call them "Sir/Ms" as in high school?

Or "Sir ...." and add their name?

Or "Professor..." with a name?

Or just their first name?

i dont get why high school teachers insist on more formal titles. perhaps because university lectures actually have some community respect they dont need to try and inflate their egos.
lol

at my cult school:

younger teachers by their first name and older teaches as 'auntie' and 'uncle'

OFFENDED?!?!??!!

I think it's because in uni you're dealing with a whole different age group. When kids are younger you need the "Mr" or "Mrs" to place emphasis on the fact that the teacher is an authority figure. When you're 18+ and in uni most people learn to shut the hell up and listen because they realise they're a actually paying for their degree

Lecturers: I usually err on the side of caution and call them 'Professor X' or 'Doctor Y' unless they've said 'Call me Bob' or whatever. Most do say 'Call me Bob', though.

Tutors: first name.

Chief, captain, tiger, mate, buddy, pal, etc.

I think that's the same thing I said last time I posted in a thread like this. I'm a constant.
