Hey guys.
I'm in year 11 and my dream course is to do a combined law/commerce degree at USYD.
My subjects are currently:
  • chem
  • bio
  • modern
  • ext 1 english
  • mathematics
  • economics
But for next year...the HSC that is, I'll be doing:
  • English advanced: I'll get in 90's no problem
  • English ext 1 : high 40's
  • english ext 2 : high 40's probs
  • Mathematics: 90 - 92 if I work my butt off
  • Economics: 90 - 95
  • Modern History: 90+
  • Biology: 90 +
Do I have what it takes to get 99.55?
What can I do to ensure success?
Thanks in advance!

=)

Work really fucking hard. What else can be said.

Bare in mind that Usyd does accept lower than the published cut offs. With a UAI of 95+ you should be albe to transfer after a year of your other course, which you will get full credit for.

??Explain...
It was meant for humorous effect.
I was implying that all lawyers are evil bastards, and to gain the marks to be said lawyer, you merely need to sign your soul over to the Devil.
As this was lost on you, please disregard.

not to discourage you or anything, but although you may think you have an idea of what sort of marks you can get in the HSC, it may dramatically change during the HSC. The HSC is really different to the prelim, especially for english (i do 4units myself). And especially for extension 2 english - its a major work, it is really subjective, so predicting what you will get is not really practical.

Anyway, keep working hard - good luck!
