An upgraded version of the Ti 92+

And for exams, I use some D.A.L. calc - sharp, I think. had it since year 7, whereas everyone else has broken or eaten theirs.

Other students doing Methods CAS (pilot study) use a TI-92 with a much larger screen than the most common 83's.

I think the 89 is still a handheld though, right? the 92, 92+ and Voyage 200 are like personal organisers, though have the same functions and more, and use the same OS. Bigger screens, too. I have space invaders type game on mine. :p

Yes, the Ti-89 is a handheld.

I just checked, my bad, Math Methods CAS students use Ti-92+'s which have the keypad and are big'ish.

Is it actually legal, in terms of the HSC, to use the calculators which do complex numbers and differentiation and stuff?

I highly doubt you will find a calculator on the list that can differentiate. Mine could do complex and is on the list.

Calculators which differentiate are not allowed. And mine can differentiate, integrate, factorise, and many other things. Obviously It's not allowed.
