I'm going to finish year 12, do a gap year to get used to being out in the real world and then go to university and do a bachelor of education primary course.

Why not go out of town and celebrate it with the whole family, thanksgiving and rest... Rest for a while 'coz you're almost there.... Almost there, 'coz you're no longer you're mom's little kiddo, you need to face the real world, gotta find a job and get something for a living...You'll be on a rat race so Good Luck!!!

Despite the el-Americana feel of the OP, I will respond.

This year I'm working full-time, 2 jobs, to save up enough money to move to Brisbane next year. I'm moving into a residential college at UQ St Lucia and studying Maths or Engineering.

I'll be spending just a little over two months in Antartica on a gap year expidition to study the effects of climate change. Then me and my best friend are going on a Contiki tour around North America and then Europe. Probably end up at mid year enrollment, at UTS completing my PhD in Gastronomy.
