Even more sadly i just read andy gritheths bums trilogy.

b4 that tho i read the hitchikers guide to the galaxy for like, the 40th time, such a good franchise...except the movie

I got 3/4 of the way through and ended up watching the movie. The book is much, much better than the movie IMHO.
