umm.... ive done complex, polynomials, integration and volumes so far. Only a few chapters left and harder 3unit shouldnt take too long since 6 of the 7 4uniters have already done 3unit the year before.

In ME2, we've done Complex, then Graphs, then Conics... we're all doing Polynomials over the holidays though... feel so far behind, and from past years, Mechanics isn't even in our Trials...

projectile motion in physics is different from projectile motion in mathematics. You need to 'derive' the equations of motion in mathematics for each question, rather than state the equations like you do for physics (which are given to you on a formula sheet).

mmmm well we WERE ahead of most skools in 3u at the beginning of the term XD

ahh who cares... if u tutor / work ahead its ok for us... coz theres less to study for in our tests... our trials wont have mechanics / harder 3u / perms / binomial ...

yea i know wat u mean..
like i read the topic in the last holz b4...

but yea..its really similar anyway so its good..
like the application of the formulas are the same...

anyway its not hard to derive the formula..

You are right, it's not hard to derive them at all. You just need to be able to integrate properly. Most the time, you get simple things to integrate.

Then comes mechanics, which is like projectile motion in harder terms, and tougher conditions/considerations. Here, you might get some nasty things to integrate, nasty meaning long and tedious things involving logs and stuff...

Projection motion (Physics) is to Projectile motion (3U) as Projectile motion (3U) is to Mechanics (4U) as Parabola (3U) is to Conics (4U).
