I can imagine a fair bit of the state would have got fucked over on that question. The working capital ratio can be seen the same as the liquidity ratio which is ca/cl..BUTT in the context of the question which requried you to pull information out of the heading effective working capital management.. the answer was

Current Assets -(minus) Current Liabilities

Only one mark anyway. Either way it is a stupid question as both are right.

I double checked the question because my friend did that to me once being a tricky bugger.

It was definitely Working Capital Ratio which = Liquidity Ratio which = Current Assets/Current Liabilities

sorry to be bearer of bad news :S

i have to say I was pretty stoked to have that 1 ratio!!....I'm not a fan of maths and the financial side isn't my strongest so I focused on other things like the management side...:)

yeh, the current ratio question was the only ratio which the exam touched on

that, as well as two multiple choice qu's, but u can;t really call it ratio work, they had already given u the figures for return on owner's equity and crap

u just had to identify trends and stuff

not that much maths in it this year

my little argument with my friend, is it:
CA/CL or
CA x 100/ CL ?

or does it not matter?

Lol ... What if you wrote CA/CL, then crossed it out (one line) and wrote some fictionary ratio?

Do the markers disregard it, or do they still take it into account?
