Is it just me, or do they get really shaky between floors 6-8 and also if descending from a high floor, it shakes around floors 2 - 1 - especially the one on the left (when viewing from outside)

Or maybe I am just paranoid and imagining things heh

Never been in that lift. The ones in the lib are shit though, I thought I was trapped for a whole few minutes until I realised I pressed the wrong button

Yeah, I think it's a little shaky.

I thank god W6A is airconditioned though. On cold days, it's like a defrosting machine... *sighs happily*

Yup, they do that.

If you enter on level 2 and you hit say level 5, they frequently like to go down to 1 before going up, even though there is noone there.

It fucks with my mind, although I like to think it has its own bureaucratic personality.

So long as the damn thing takes me where I want to go and lets me blame it afterwards for whatever misfortunes happened whilst in transit, I don't care too much :p

w6a.. i think they are the elevators with buttons on the doors inside that don't work. and also the buttons on the outside don't turn on sometimes when i press them, or they go off randomly. they used to mess around with me too, but i'm getting smarter than them ;)

lol, you must be smarter than I am, then...

I just press the buttons lovingly and say soothing things - 'yes, what a pretty elevator you are. Your doors are so shiny today. My, what a large interior you have' - and hope for the best.

haha
my smartness goes something like this (i don't wanna go to bed):
  • if you press the button outside and the light doesn't go on, you're not imagining things, the light isn't broken, press it again
  • glance at the button every now and then and if the light has turned off, you're not imaginging things, press it again
  • if you can hear that the elevator is about 3 seconds from your floor and the light turns off, that is not the same as the above, that means that the elevator is stopping for you
  • when you enter the elevator, never, ever, touch the buttons on the door, only use buttons on the wall.

yeah they shake quite a lot.

but think about it........those elevators in W6A were pulled from a building which had them in the 1920's. If you were that old you would shake too, you'd forget which floor you were going to........if somebody pressed your button you may forget that they pressed it.

or hell you might be angry at the world and just never acknowledge which floors people want to go to.

lol u think the main campus lifts are bad, try going up/down in the one at mgsm, u have to hold the button to move it, and it breaks down everyday!
