Hi there,

I have just finished the HSC and with my free time I want to volunteer at any organisation.

I just need some ideas on where I could volunteer. I can think of some but I know I am overlooking some that will only be realised if we brainstorm.

Thank you for your time!

If you want to get some retail experience aswell then somewhere like Vinnies is good.
If you like animals then Monikas Doggie Rescue, Animal Welfare League or RSPCA
Nursing homes, meals on wheels, gardening for elderly
You can also sometimes do office volunteering which is good experience as well.

You can find volunteering onnnn

I'm doing it at the local hospital. The nurses are glad to have someone help out. You meet people from all walks of life, interesting really.

I went into the hospital, got in touch with some nurses and they organised it for me.

btw you're going to have your criminal record checked etc; will take a while. (about a month)

You don't deal with blood or anything medical, just easing the administrative load and some other basic tasks for the nurses so they can do real work.
