Hey guys. I have a question regarding volumes of torus. I have been struggling to do these types of questions in exams but I noticed Pappu's centroid Theorem. I'm not sure if u guys have heard of this method but it is a simple formula. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pappus's_centroid_theorem

I was just wondering if we are allowed to use this method in exams because it works and is simpler but it is not a method that is taught.

You can use it to verify your solution, but not as the actual working out.
