wtf.......my estimated was 98, my umat percentile was 96, my overall score was 63, i was non western sydney too!!!! the only frekin difference is you're a girl and im a guy.................and i dont get an interview. honestly wtf.

nar you should get an interview, where abouts you from? maybe u gave them the wrong email, or there sending some out later.. if you dont get an interview contact them and ask why

Read the first post, that is why i want you guys to post up your new weighted scores. 100% for sec 1 + 100% for sec 2 + 50% for sec 3 all raw scores = score uws uses to rank interview selections this year.

Rurality gives you a lower umat/uai cut-off at most universities.

Yep 160, congrats on the interview.

I also think we will see a disproportionate number of girls > guys next year as guys normally do considerable better in sec 3. UWS decision perplexes me, I think they have realised s3 was a hurdle for alot of students.

These interviews are for medicine, for most universities you must apply through uac or equivalent, sit umat and apply to the university in addition aswell, etc for medicine.

if you want to do mbbs(medicine) at uws u had to apply for interview and sit umat... any other courses its just uac

they wont change dates unless you are ill or a relative is significantly ill or other extreme circumstances, holidays don't count as extreme circumstances.

i got
S1 - 56
S2 - 53
S3 - 95

so thats 56 + 53 + 47.5 = 156.5
im non-rural and non-gws.
Cant believe i got an interview in that case!

Your very lucky, judging by people's results on other forums, etc I think 151 or slightly below was the cut-off this year for non-gws using the new process.

UWS interviews are from 2-5 dec so there's no need to worry.

that's annoying about the 100%, 100%, 50% thing... section 3 was my best (and i'm a girl by the way).
So apparently, according to Wooz, my re-adjusted UMAT score is 150, i'm GWS though so that probably helped - i got an interview.

Also, many of you need learn the difference between
there/their/they're and your/you're, or, since i'm assuming you smart cookies all know the difference, at least start putting that basic knowledge into practice...it really makes me cringe. Imagine...

Don't be a pretentious prat; written English isn't spoken English, and there isn't a noticeable, if any, linguistic difference between "ýour" and "ýou're".

As for those of you who think you'd like to go on holidays or Schoolies, fix up your priorities.

Your very lucky, judging by people's results on other forums, etc I think 151 or slightly below was the cut-off this year for non-gws using the new process.

rascy, the process used this year has been confirmed by the uni.

Rejection letters have also been sent out by UWSthis year, for the first time.

Got. It seems pretty stupid to hand out notifications now when booking doesn't happen for over a week. And who comes up with these genius ideas of tweaking ACER scores anyway?
