I rang the line up just then and that's what it said too.

I'm still going to try tomorrow though Jian.
I think results will be available on the afternoon tomorrow by calling the results line because I did this before.

You'd better check your "Total Credit Points Gained".

I found another way which may help you know which subject you failed.
Go to the Study Plan page. If the status of the subject you did in Autumn 07 is Enrolled, then you passed. If it is planned, then you failed.
My friend's one subject's status become "Planned" and the Total Credit Points Gained indicates that he got 18 cps in Autumn 07 and he enrolled 24 cps.

That sounds correct too...

All of my Autumn semester subjects say 'enrolled'.

I've added instructions on how to do this and view your results on the first post.

Oh thanks for that but under my result section it says

Sorry, but you don't have any results recorded for your Course.

LOL, no wonder I couldn't find it.

What are you opinions on IT Ops Management, now you have done it? I've still got it on my allocations for Autumn, 2008.
Hello!

It is a good subject. I had worked in an ITOM environment already so I had some idea on the subject. If you haven't worked in a support role you may find it different. I found it pretty easy given I had experienced a lot of it in my industrial training.

Initially you may not have an idea of what the lecturer is on about but you would gain understanding and would be able to look at the big picture by the end. I enjoyed it because I found the lecturer I had (Chris SJ) was very involving of the class in tutorials. Though he gives less time for assignments but he appreciates to the point assignments as opposed to loads of text. However, he is on leave next semester I believe so I am not sure who you may have.

I suggest you also talk to someone else who may have done the subject. Personally I found it easy.

rockets is partly correct. It does not work for 1st year, first semester students, as they have no academic record yet.

Hello lil_star =)
I've working in a support role on ops management, but this is at my management consulting workplace.. so it could be different.

I was looking around to fill my 6cp elective and I thought ITOM looked interesting. I shall take your advice and find others who have done the subject. Thanks!

Jian said that if you look at it, it might say 'planned' if you failed the subject.

Support could be helpdesk or onsite support. So it deals with ideas like Service Level Agreements (SLAs), asset management, servers, network security, documentation (configuration management), capacity planning (looking at future need of resources), management activities, disaster recovery, backups.

I have a full set of notes if you decided to go ahead with it and wanted me to email you those.

You can also consider doing Managing Client Vendor Relations. It has no final exams. It has tutorial participation marks, presentation, a report and an journal type essay with an argument.

Though ITOM is probably a better subject in terms of enhancing and expanding your learning.

Cheers.

Yes. Jian means the study plan in depth. Where I have bolded; it may say 'Planned' again if you failed the particular subject.

Thanks for the insight. I'll keep everything you've said in mind. Nothing is in stone yet, and enrollment for next year's subjects is still a long way away. So, I'll still be shopping/researching on what I want to do.

4 hours left.
In Autumn 2006, I remembered that I called the hotline at 4:30pm and the results were avalable.
