Don't believe what university said.
The staff told me the results will be available at MSA on Wednesday afternoon, actually it is available at 0:00 on Wednesday.
Believe me. The results are available on Tuesday afternoon via phone (no later than 6pm).
yeah thats what happens when i got my results at unsw. They said the results are officially for that particular date where results were out the afternoon before theyre schedule to be released.
Wonder whether the hotline will be fully jammed *sigh*

Ohhh awesome. Thanks for that.

Well if you're right, I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing I passed the one I was dreading. Woo.

And I may use that hotline because I have work the next day and need to be in bed before they come out :p I doubt I could sleep if I knew they were out soon.
It looks correct. I don't think it would say you gained those credit points if you didn't.

I'm going to try even before 5pm using the work phones hehe.

What are you opinions on IT Ops Management, now you have done it? I've still got it on my allocations for Autumn, 2008.

Don't try your luck a couple hours before midnight on MSA. They will be released on the dot online.

meh

Engineering Project Management: Distinction? nah --> fail
Advanced Electronics: Pass
Energy Electrical Technology: Credit
Analogure and Digital Control: Credit

p.s. which idiot "IT" guy apparently thinks the 'email progress report' indicates you might pass a subject? that's the most absurd reasoning I have ever heard! the UTS systems assumes u pass a subject until the 18th of July and throws it in your face that you have failed it!!! BAH!!! people!!

he may have been correct, though. chances are that they know the credit points passed before the official results are released.

joe_m compares credit points GAINED, not enrolled:

Total Credit Points Gained
240
76

His number of cp gained went up by the number of credit points that he actually took in a day. I doubt they would have said that he gained those credit points if he failed a unit.

How do you know the UTS system assume we pass a subject until 18th of July? Is the system designed by you?
One of my friend enrolled 24 cps in Autumn 07 and his report only add 18 cps to his "Total Credit Points Gained".
Now you know whether I am right.

Re: UTS - Semester 1 2007 Guestimates + Official Results thread (Wed 18th July)

I'm on Jian's side. Here is something to clear things up.

When I requested an email of my academic record from MSA, I found my progress in my course, and did a copy-paste which resulted in this:

Total Credit Points Gained
192
72
Total Credit Points Required for Course
Total Credit Points Enrolled 24

But in actual fact, it actually says this:

Huratio said:
Hmm.. your right..

Total Credit Points Required for Course 192
Total Credit Points Gained 72
Total Credit Points Enrolled 24

I didn't think I failed any subjects though lol.
It seems like the formatting error of the PDF.

_____

What Joe has:
goan_crazy said:
Total Credit Points Gained
240
76
Total Credit Points Required for Course
Total Credit Points Enrolled 20
Which actually means this:
Total Credit Points Required for Course 240
Total Credit Points Gained 76
Total Credit Points Enrolled 20

His course is 240cp in total, he has gained 76 (during his first 3 semesters of uni) and he has enrolled for 20cp for the next semester. Do you understand now?

_____

Now for Jian's quote:

Jian said:

One of my friend enrolled 24 cps in Autumn 07 and his report only add 18 cps to his "Total Credit Points Gained".
Now you know whether I am right.
Now, if this is 100% correct: This student had a 24cp load in Autumn 2007, and has seemed to gain 18cp on 'Total Credit Points Gained'. Thus, one can conclude that he has failed a subject. It would say he gained 24cp if Vangineer is correct:
Vangineer said:

It looks like it is Jian's word against Vangineer's word; but you should question why it says that you gained all credit points when you may have not. If Vangineer is correct, everyone's academic records during the last week have been potentially incorrect.

thanks for that guys
yeah
i have 26 more credit points gone towards the degree out of 240
i was enrolled in 26 last sem
if u failed, you would still have outstanding credit points from the last semester on top of what you're enrolled in
i knew about this system since last semester

Bahaha.. academic transcripts can be ordered now (for those who have completed?) . Is that enough evidence you need Vangineer?

I rang the line up just then and that's what it said too.

I'm still going to try tomorrow though Jian.

Below the line, near the bottom: It says: 'Total Credit Points Gained'.
Add up the credit points you've gained in previous semesters, plus Autumn 2007's credits. That should give you an indication of if you passed all of your subjects or not.
