well i'm sure your personal experience is a very accurate account of the issueJonathan A said:Oh goodie....![]()
Now I can't wait to pay fees for summer school, even when my union ('my' because I pay for it's pointless services) is closed during the break. 6 months on, I still haven't heard from my union about establishing a club. That's after leaving email messages, phoning through and even having the university contact them on my behalf.
My hope: that the Government really drives unions that waste my time and money into the ground!
Why must you dismiss all who get nothing out of their compulsory subscription as whingers?walrusbear said:well i'm sure your personal experience is a very accurate account of the issue
god forbid you should have to pay for union fees and contribute to your university.
...becaude obviously they havn't done enough to get something out of itwithoutaface said:Why must you dismiss all who get nothing out of their compulsory subscription as whingers?
because to suggest that you 'get nothing' is indicative of a narrow perspective on thingswithoutaface said:Why must you dismiss all who get nothing out of their compulsory subscription as whingers?
Some people don't share your concept of fun, and regardless it's their business whether they get involved or not, and despite your arguments to the contrary, $500 is a lot of money for an average uni student.Master Yoda said:i dont see why people have such a problem paying around $500 a year more when the government has already set prices of around $6k a year (and rising) for our hecs based courses
i also do not understand why young people would NOT get invovled in activities provided by uni, and live teh uni experience. life is about having fun, and i think uni is som of the best time of our lives. i dont see why people wouldnt wanna get invovled in the parties and everything else. i really dont know why people would PREFER to have uni as a lesson only thing with no fun when they're already paying so much why not pay a little extra to make it count?
Hopefully it's not the assured passage some archaic hyperconservative bill :/Generator said:Now we only have to be told what it is that Fielding was offered for his vote.
