look... dudes... to conclude this...
1. no matter how others perceive it... SSS does not have the intent to discriminate
2. in terms of how others percieve it... i do not deny that some ppl will inevitably perceive it as discriminatory/elitist... but we'll do our best to dispel this... but i also will not deny that one of the aims of SSS is to bring toegether students from Shanghai... because we do come from the same home city... and therefore feel an affiliation to it...
3. in terms of the possibility of upsetting ChinSoc... ill leave that to the actual founders of SSS to figure it out(im not actually a founder... just a supporter)... but im sure they can come to a compromise... but i assert again that i will not stop attending ChinSoc events or stop supporting ChinSoc...
4. constitution is being drawn up at the moment... from what ive heard from the founders...
5. exeter dude... even tho u tell me not to... im still gona tell u i do have "good white friends"... but the reason udont c me spend as much time with them as i do is cos the only time u see me is arond the commerce courtyard and quad... but i hang around my "good white friends" in the law tower, this is cos all my friends from commerce are incidentally asian... im sure uve observed the majority of students in commerce are asian... a fact that i cannot help... while my "good white friends" are in other faculties, eg. psychology, law, med, and i also have indian, egyptian, etc friends as well... so its just a tad judgemental to conclude that i hang around with asns only just cos u c me walk round commerce courtyard/quad with asn frnds...
6. guys... stop being so judgemental and give us a chance... whether or not this'll work... we're willing to give it a go... and whether or not it'll still be running in a yr or two's time we'll c...
but please do not flame it... or paraphrase ur flaming as "suggestions"...
