Yeah I know, but since he went off on a tangent, I wanted to make it clearer. (If he can't see that the derivative of sine is cosine).
Come with us to solve homogeneous 2nd order ODEs, it's part of the same maths course with higher power trig!

HINT: The characteristic equation is simply a quadratic with final solutions as exponentials.

I will be doing "Mathematical methods for Differential equations" in session 2.

Anybody else doing it ?

I will either be doing that or... Linear Algebra (shivers)
