yeah i was wondering the same thing...i didnt get one and its driving me crazy not knowing whether i will or not

Hey... I got a predicted UAI of 100 and that means my UMAT was about 152... that's not considered crash hot is it?

I thought you were from Tassie?

How can you then have a predicted score of 100?

Also, the offer means that you received a UMAT score of AT LEAST 152, give your self credit, you may have done much, much better

I hope so! TER of 99.95 converts to UAI of 100 I think. My principal was wishing a little hard there I am realistically looking at 99.5ish max

Are you so sure that works? coz lots of people i know have tried that, and it didn't work for them (ie, they couldn't log in). I'm thinking that unsw probably updates the interview booking time thing a couple of hours before they send the email. And since, i'm guessing, that the people in my area will get their emails tomorrow, we'll only be able to check/log into the interview booking thing tomorrow aswell.... but, i'm just guessing here. Coz one of my friends will definetely be getting a 99+ uai, and she is also a genius at umat, so i highly doubt that she didn't get an offer.... ok, they'd sooo better be coming tomorrow. they'd better...

i put the uai thing at 98

Dear Applicant

I am sorry to inform you that unfortunately you have not been selected for
the first round of interviews being conducted from 24 to 28 September 2007.

This first round of interviews is based on combined predicted academic
result and actual UMAT result.

Applicants who were not selected for September interviews will be
considered for a second round of interviews to be held on January 2 and 3,
2008. Successful candidates for this interview will receive an invitation
email around mid December 2007. The selection for second round of
interviews will be based on combined actual academic result and UMAT
results. Approximately 100 applicants will be offered an interview in
early January in accordance with a ranked list.

Please note that applicants who are selected for a January interview are
not disadvantaged in any way. Offers for Medicine places are made through
the UAC after all interviews have been completed (a total of around 500
interviews over the September and January interview periods). Applicants
are selected into the program on the basis of their academic results, UMAT
result and interview performance. These three criteria are weighted
equally.

Applicants who were selected for an interview in September achieved a
combined actual UMAT and a predicted (or actual) UAI to rank them in the
first 370 applicants (the number who were offered an interview.)
Information on the minimum predicted UAI and actual UMAT scores that
applicants needed to achieve to be offered an interview in the main round
of interviews in September will be available next week from the link below:

I appreciate that this is a very anxious time for many applicants -
however, I am unable to give applicants any more feedback at this stage
until after UMAT results have been released to applicants.

Please note that applicants with a total UMAT score of less than 150 (raw
marks not percentile rankings) will be most unlikely to be ranked high
enough to be offered an interview in January.

Applicants sitting the International Baccalaureate (IB) examination who
receive their results in early January will be contacted separately
regarding the arrangements for the notification of their IB results.

I was looking through the interview times and noticed that pretty much all of the last two days are booked but slots in the first couple of days are still mostly there. So does everyone think that it's more advantageous to go later? I actually wanted to go at 8.45am on Monday, but I live too far away to get there in time. Haha.

I just confirmed 12.00pm on Monday. That was the earliest after 8.45am LOL. I'm hoping my interviewers won't be impatiently waiting to get it over and done with so they can go to lunch...:mad1:

I chose to go on the 28th because my school formal was in the 26th and I didn't want to miss the last two days of school (24th,25th). I have to fly down the day before (Gar, to be a rural student). I don't think it'd be advantageous to go last, but to do excellently! There are 370 people vying for c.196 places. Not to mention the 100 people being interviewed in January.

Yes it could. Not to mention how some of that percent will turn up wearing the exact same clothing because some medicine entry program told them what to say and how to look. I've heard horror stories.

I forget how many rural places there are. Around 40?

The email letter states around "370" will be interviewed for for first round and 100 for late round(this round normally get's the people who's uai's were under-estimated, the people in this round are usually the 98+ UAI people who had lower estimates).
