one of my friends said that offers come out over the course of 3 or so days! so like lionking said, dont give up yet!

No idea. Hopefully it won't be long. The UMAT results are supposed to be released around my birthday (in a couple of weeks) so that could potentially be an awesome 18th birthday present.

i would imagine a 3 digit number vaguely resembling something like 220 would please someone a lot more than an ill-considered gift.

I'm just happy because UNSW's invitation means that I didn't do too badly in the UMAT. LOL.

it seems so many ppl actually got interview....how many ppl did we actually beat in getting these?? would there actually be thousands of applicants and only a few hundred get interviews?

a few thousand ppl apply with 480 interviewed in main round. late round there's about 200 more with 210 places (50 bonded + 10 rural) to be filled up

370 interviews in the main round...about 100 and something in January...i didn't get an interview...but i havent applied for medicine at UWS yet...although its on my UAC preferences...but im not going to give up...coz i still have a chance for the January interviews
also i am dying to know my UMAT...i think i didnt get an offer for the interview coz my principal circled less than 90 UAI...harsh lol
oh one more thing...what is the highest possible UMAT score that one can get?

300, since they are scaled marks. but the highest is usually around 220, disregarding seasonal aberrations (lol)

Depends on your UAI at certain unis.

Above 200 is pretty awesome though and would help immensely. Lol.

nah..the odds are a little better that that...around 600 get interviewed both now and in january, and there are 210 places. So its a little better than 1 in 3....

perhaps it may be 1 in 5 for you considering you arent able to do a little basic maths...

u dont get a letter from unsw u get email, they started sending out rejection emails yesterday, so all the offers are out on 10th.
btw it IS about 1 in 5 chance for interviewees to get an offer, only 130 places avaiable for about 500 interviewees, lol if there was 200 something places il be overjoyed..

Must i keep correcting you people...in the publicaiton by UNSW for 2009 Medicine...there was 138 CSP, 49 Bonded, 9 Rural Bonded in 2008...and at the open day, they said there was approx 210 available places...

yeah that would be the right stats. 138 if you don't do bonded tho, 6 yrs is quite a long time
