Hey I'm just wondering in terms of Communication courses, particulary journalism, is USYD, UNSW or UTS better? I know this really comes down to personal needs but I'd like people's opinions and maybe experiences?

Out of those three I believe that UTS has the best course.

Search it, there are many threads on this topic.

UTS -> USYD -> UNSW.

:)

You should also consider CSU if you can.

I read somewhere that the UTS communication degree was more vocationally relevant than USYD's degree.

How much does 'professional accreditation' play in the quality of a course?

I'm wondering what people dislike about UNSW's course?
Their strength is with COFA and their digital media courses. UTS is more vocational but also teaches you the underlying theories behind the practices, making it quite the effective communications course. USYD is on the other end of the scale, far too theory focused, with very little practical skills involved.
